The Best Headphones For You

If you're like me, listening to music is a daily habit. Whether I am travelling and want to send a don't-talk-to-me signal or relaxing at home, I alwasy prefer listening to music through headphones. But did you know that there are different types of headphones?

In-ear monitors (IEMs) and earbuds

Most sports headphones fall into the IEM category. In-ear monitors (or IEMs) are headphones that fit inside each ear canal. Earbuds, on the other hand, feature small drivers that rest on the ridge of your outer ear. They usually deliver lesser fidelity and isolation than other types of headphones.

They are cheap, very small and offer good sound quality for an affordable price.

This is the type of headphones which sit right over your outer ear. On-ear headphones are similar in design to over-ear models, though the cushions sit on the outer ear rather than enclosing the ears. When you are wearing on-ear headphones, you can still hear outside sounds, and others nearby might be able to hear your music.

Also known as "around-ear" or "full-size" headphones, over-ear headphones have cushioned earcups that enclose the ears. Usually considered the best headphones for sound quality, most over-ear models also do a good job of isolating the user from outside sound. This feature is sometimes called "passive noise reduction."

If you're looking for topnotch headphones, Guitar Center has, shure headphones at a great price!

Want to travel to Japan and SEA Countries on a Cruise?

Now on its 44th year, the SSEAYP is a flagship program of NYC. It is an annual cultural exchange program that started in 1974 as a joint statement between ASEAN Member States and Japan. 5 Reasons Why You Should Have Musician Friends

1.  You may have a talent in music that you have yet to discover. Having muscian friends can help you unlock that potental. They can guide you in choosing the best gears to start with. Or you yourself is already playing an instrument. Your musiccian friends can help you hone that talent.

2. Having musician friends means always having someone with a unique taste to enrich your playlist. You do not have to rely on radios that usually fill your playlist with whatever that is popular.

3. Having musician friends means having instant entertainment all the time. You can't possibly get bored when in the company of people who can provide live entertainment any time.

4. Musician friends live for emotions and feelings. That means you can be honest with them with your truest self. Who knows, your story can inspire them to write a song or a melody.

5. They will teach you living life in the moment. Musicians feel deeply. They have a grasp of reality that is different from regular people. Thus, having them around makes life so much more liveable and interesting.

Two Famous Guitars I Covet

In the world of music, an artist's  instrument can become as icinic as he is. It's like the guitar becomes one as the artist that one cannot exist without the other. The choice of guitar conveys much of the artist's personality. It is an extension of himself.

Let's take two famous guitars in history that I covet:
Prince’s “Cloud” which was originally custom-built by Minneapolis luthier David Rusan in 1983, the guitar was featured prominently in Prince’s Purple Rain film. Though some fans might argue in favor of his symbol guitar, the Cloud just looks sexier, more like something a regular musician might actually want to play.
Kurt Cobain’s Fender Jag-Stang had a fair share of guitars played throughout the band’s career, a couple of the Fender models he played tend to stand out: the Jaguar and the Mustang. Rather than having to pick either one of those, it’s only natural to feature the Jag-Stang, Cobain’s very own combination of both guitars. As the story goes, Kurt designed the guitar himself via a montage of polaroid photos.
It is clear that choosing the right guitar is important. But where do you look? You can start by searching for a reputable guitar store. Some even offer classes to help you in your craft.
